Early Life and Family Background

Abhijeet Dipke was born on 29 September 1995 in Aurangabad, now Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, in Maharashtra, into a Dalit family. His father, Bhagwanrao Dipke, is a retired engineer who worked with the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), and his mother, Anita Dipke, is a homemaker. He told Reuters, "My father comes from a very humble background." Dipke names Dr. B.R. Ambedkar as a major influence on his thinking.

Education

• School: He went to school in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and then attended S. B. College there.
• Engineering: At his father's insistence he briefly enrolled in an engineering course, but left it.
• Undergraduate: He studied journalism and mass communication in Pune.
• Postgraduate: In 2023 he moved to the United States and earned a Master of Science in Public Relations from the Boston University College of Communication. He has said he studied there on a scholarship and an education loan.
