Arijit Singh married Koel Roy, a childhood friend, in a private ceremony at the Tarapith temple in Birbhum, West Bengal, in January 2014. The couple has children and keeps family life away from the media.
Despite his fame, Arijit is known for his simple lifestyle. He continues to live in his hometown of Jiaganj, where locals know him by his nickname "Shomu". He is often seen riding a scooter around town, and he rarely gives interviews or engages on social media.
He has supported several community projects in Murshidabad district, including healthcare and music-education initiatives for his hometown. His mother, Aditi Singh, died in May 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
