Kejriwal is married to Sunita Kejriwal, a former Indian Revenue Service officer and his batchmate in the service. They have two children, a daughter, Harshita, and a son, Pulkit. He is known for his simple dress, often with a muffler in winter, and has spoken about practising Vipassana meditation. He is the author of the book Swaraj (2012).
