Bhuvneshwar Kumar Early Life

Bhuvneshwar Kumar Singh was born on 5 February 1990 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. His family:

• Father, Kiran Pal Singh: a sub-inspector in the Uttar Pradesh Police. He died of liver cancer on 20 May 2021.
• Mother, Indresh Devi
• Elder sister, Rekha

Rekha played a key role in his career. She encouraged his interest in cricket and took him to a cricket coaching centre in Meerut when he was 13. He trained at the academy and developed his natural ability to swing the ball. He soon rose through the Uttar Pradesh age-group teams.
