Lal Singh Arya is a seasoned Indian politician from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with a long career in public service. He began his electoral journey in 1998, winning the Gohad (SC) constituency in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, and was re-elected in 2003. After a brief defeat in 2008, he regained his seat in 2013 and served as a Minister of State in the Madhya Pradesh government under Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, holding key portfolios including Narmada Valley Development, General Administration, Aviation, Tribal Affairs, and Scheduled Caste Welfare. From 2020 onwards, Arya has been serving as the National President of the BJP’s Scheduled Caste Morcha, leading party outreach and welfare initiatives for Scheduled Caste communities across India. In the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly election, he contested again from Gohad but was narrowly defeated. Throughout his career, he has been active in party organization, public welfare campaigns, and socio-political advocacy within and beyond his constituency.
