Lal Singh Arya was born on 15 June 1964 in Bhind district, Madhya Pradesh, to his father Phuljari Lal Arya. He completed his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in 1987 and later earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in 1997, both from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. From a young age, he joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a volunteer, which influenced his entry into politics. During the mid-1980s and 1990s, he held organizational roles in the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and the BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha at the district level, building his grassroots leadership before entering electoral politics.
