Personal Life Salman Khan

Salman Khan has never married. He lived for decades in the Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai, near his parents. In 2011 he said he suffers from trigeminal neuralgia, a painful nerve condition.

He founded the Being Human Foundation, which supports education and healthcare for underprivileged people and is funded partly through the Being Human clothing brand.

Legal cases

• 2002 hit-and-run case: A trial court convicted him in May 2015. The Bombay High Court acquitted him in December 2015, holding that the prosecution had not proved its case.
• Blackbuck poaching case: On 5 April 2018 a Jodhpur court sentenced him to five years in prison for killing two blackbucks in 1998. He was granted bail two days later, and his appeal is pending.

He has faced repeated security threats in recent years, and his security has been increased by the authorities.
